As you’ll get to realise if you continue to come back here, I like taking photographs. For my last birthday, I was lucky enough to be given a photography course at Sydney’s Australian Centre For Photography, which entailed five weeks of learning all the technical shit I felt I needed to get a hold of to really consider myself a photographer of worth.

Tonight is the culmination of that course - an exhibition at the Centre’s gallery, where all students from this term will have their work hung.

The subject of my photo (below) is the lovely lady that helped organise the present in the frst place - my partner Ella. I decided I wanted to take some portraits of her, and upon showing them to my fellow students, elected this one as the one fo the exhibition.

I’m keen to see the work of the other students, not least those doing more advanced course than I. I’m sure I’ll return to the Centre at some stage to take a subsequent course, but for now I have plenty of new skills to try and make use of.
